Minimum Teams to Start = 8

10 Matches

If 8 -15 Teams - Top 4 qualify for second stage which is a double elimination tournament.

If 16-31 Teams - Top 8 qualify for second stage which is a double elimination tournament.

If 32-63 Teams - Top 16 qualify for second stage which is a double elimination tournament.

If 64 - 127 Teams - Top 32 qualify for second stage which is a double elimination tournament.

If 128-256 Teams - Top 64 qualify for second stage which is a double elimination tournament.

Note: Prize pool is awarded to winners of second stage.

In the event of lower tier ties, teams who are equal or tied on points to the lowest qualifying team and have concluded all 10 matches of the league will also qualify for the second stage / leg of the tournament

E-Sports Gaming Organization - Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) Rule Book

Scope of Rules:
The below rules apply to all E-Sports Gaming Organization Tournament matches and events.

Definitions:

  • Tournament - Defined as a series of contests between several competitors, competing for an overall prize.
  • Match - Defined as a single contest within the tournament in which people or teams compete against each other.
  • User - A user in E-Sports Gaming Organization refers to any individual or team party who affiliates with any component of the E-Sports Gaming Organizations sites, and systems.
  • Team - Defined in E-Sports Gaming Organization as any group of users working together to achieve a particular goal or goals.
  • Roster - Refers to the players within a E-Sports Gaming Organization team.

1. Registration and Membership
1.1 Registration

Registering to E-Sports Gaming Organization indicates that you as an E-Sports Gaming Organization user abides by the sites Terms and Conditions found here: www.esgo.online/play/termsandconditions
Information on user’s profiles must be accurate.

By registering to E-Sports Gaming Organization you also agree to abide by the E-Sports Gaming Organizations anticheat policies.

1.2 Membership and Accounts
In order to compete in E-Sports Gaming Organizations competitions you must be a member of play.esgo.online. 
Members usernames must not include any offensive language. This includes but not limited to: offensive words, sexism and racism or any other wording or sentences generally considered to be offensive.
A warning will be issued alongside a mandatory name change. A three (3) month suspension will be issued for repeat offenders.

Users are to only register and use one account which must include their steam account details in their profile if competing in the E-Sports Gaming Organizations competitions. Users can be a part of more than one CS:GO team however can only compete with one team in any given tournament.

Breaching the above rules will result in suspension and potential permanent bans.

 

2. Initial Player Requirements
2.1 Profile Information

Before starting a competition it is required that all profile information is accurate. Failure to comply may result in disqualification. Profile information must be accurate to confirm the identity of the given users.

2.2 SteamID
It is imperative that a user includes their SteamID within their profile before starting a competition. Failure to do so may result in disqualification. Steam profiles when checked should not have any prior VAC's for the given game being played. There is a zero tolerance for cheating.

2.3 Team Names
Team Names must not offensive words, sexism and racism or any other wording or sentences generally considered to be offensive.
A warning will be issued alongside a mandatory name change. The team will be disbanded for repeat offenders. If this is an ongoing issue all users involved in the team creation will incur a one month ban. A team of at least 5 players must be achieved in order to compete in a E-Sports Gaming Organization CS:GO competition.

2.4 Captain/Team Admin
The team captain/team admin has complete control and rights to add/remove players from their team (unless conflicting with roster changing rules of a specific competition). However, it is the responsibility of the captain to ensure he or she represents their team in a sportsmanlike manner. It is also his or her responsibility to ensure the behaviour of his or her team members. The team captain is the person capable of entering the team and paying for the team entry. It is also their role to correctly enter match scores and raise any disputes if necessary.

If the captain is absent the designated co-captain will temporarily fulfil the roles of the captain.

If in the case the captain is not fulfilling their role and responsibilities a dispute can be lodged demonstrating that more than 75% of the team agrees that the captain must be removed. There must be formal evidence demonstrating the captain is unfit to run the team.

2.5 Competition Entry
For specific competitions, payment is required to register for the event. This payment must be during the open registration process of the competition and in full.

2.6 Refunds
Refunds are only available up to seven (7) days before the start of the competition. Once the competition has started no refunds will be given as it would have already been added to the prize pool.

 

3. Initial Team Requirements
3.1 Dead Teams

If in the instance a team drops from the competition due to lack of player numbers or any other reason no refund will be provided as it is up to the team to ensure its members are consistent and available. Skipping the match will be considered a forfeit allowing the challenging team to win and proceed to the next round. If players are known to repeatedly drop from a team and a dispute has been filed that player may receive a form of punishment through suspension.

3.2 Team Names
Users may not use the name of a team which is not originally theirs. They may not use a manipulated version of the team name to attempt to make it an extension or like that of an original team name (example: Naming your team Navi) Users must also take precaution not to take the name of a team even if from another league or tournament site. If you wish to reserve your team name you may do so by going to teams.esgo.online.
You must change your team name in the event your name has been deemed as taken. Failure to do so may result in the forceful disbanding of your team.

3.3 Roster Locks
Once the competition has started roster locks will be enforced. Typically, you can find the roster lock details in the specific competition rules at the top of the rules tab. 
The breaking of this rule will result in the team being removed from the competition. No refund will be provided.

 

4. Game Play
4.1 Game Play Ruleset

All CS:GO Matches will be played utilising the MR15 ruleset. If in the game goes into MR15 overtime, MR3 rounds will be played. Every match must be played.

  • MR15 Ruleset Guide:
    The match has two (2) fifteen (15) round halves.
    First to sixteen (16) rounds wins the match. ​
    A fifteen (15)/ fifteen (15) round tie activates MR3 overtime.
  • MR3 Ruleset Guide:
    The match continues with two (2) three (3) round halves.
    First to four (4) rounds wins the match.
    Tie results in MR3 Ruleset being played until a winner is decided.

4.2 Match Start Time
At match start time a team a team has ten (10) additional minutes to obtain all users in their team into the match server. Additional time thereafter is granted only by the opposing readied team and a E-Sports Gaming Organization admin user in the event of limited technical issues. It is imperative to enter match at least fifteen (15) minutes before the match start time and be ready for the match. If the E-Sports Gaming Organization (ESGO) server is not up five (five) minutes before the designated match it is required for members to contact an E-Sports Gaming Organization admin as soon as possible to fix or reschedule.

If the opposing team does not have all five users ready in the match after the additional (10) minutes a screenshot from the game server is required to prove a disqualification. This can be done through the following method:

- Join the game match
- Open the developer console
- Type the following into the developer console: "say thetime;status;jpeg_quality 100;jpeg"
- Open the following folder to view your screenshot: /cstrike/screenshots

Reschedules are not permitted unless for a fault with the E-Sports Gaming Organization match system.

4.3 Smurfing and Illegible Users
Smurfing in CS:GO is the process of either using a secondary account or playing on someone else’s account. Smurfing is strictly prohibited in E-Sports Gaming Organization. Users caught either using a second account or using another users account will result in an automatic disqualification from the competition as well as a suspension of two (2) months. If the user has a primary account that is already suspended and is caught using a secondary account that users secondary account will be banned and a further two (2) months will be added onto their suspension. 

4.4 Player Game Dropouts
It is the responsibility of the player/user to ensure he or she has an appropriate connection. If a player is dropped the team with the dropped player can still play on using the four (4) person rule. However, if the team drops to three (3) players the team has one (1) round to get to the minimum four (4) players before they are disqualified. Match pauses can be used per the match pause rules to extend the round.

4.5 Player Ping
A player’s ping cannot reach over 150ms when the match is live. If a player’s ping is over 150ms the opposing team can request one (1) additional pause to allow the player to reconnect. If the player reconnects and the ping related issue is not resolved, the opposing team can then request the player drops out from the match after the current round is complete. Either the team can play using the four (4) person rule or bring in a substitute player. If the player refuses to leave the match the team can be disqualified from the match.

If it is deemed to be a server related issue a E-Sports Gaming Organization admin can be called. Either the match will be rescheduled or a new server will be provided.

4.6 Player Substitutes
A team can substitute any authorised players at any given time of the match. The substitute player must wait for the existing player to leave the server before entering.

There is a maximum of five (5) players allowed on the server for each team at any given time. This rule is exempt for the coach/co-leader (A coach is classified as a co-leader of the team. The coach must be a co-leader of the team for the rule to apply)

If a substitution is used to either take advantage of the system or diminish the opposing team in a malicious way, the team can be disqualified.
If there are more than five (5) team players excluding the coach, the team can be disqualified.

4.7 Match Pausing
Each team is allowed one (1) three (3) minute match pause per half.
If a team misuses the match pause rule an E-Sports Gaming Organization admin can either suspend the player for one (1) week or disqualify the team from the match.

4.8 Chat Rules
The global chat can be used by all players. Sportsmanship behaviour is required when doing so and offensive/vulgar language will not be tolerated. Breaking this rule can lead to the player having a one (1) week suspension.

4.9 End Game and Leaving Users
All users are required to stay in the match server until the game is complete. If an entire team leaves the match at any given stage they will forfeit the match.

If at the end of the match a user wishes to lodge a dispute the user must remain in the match when doing so.

4.10 Veto Rules
Universal Veto Rules apply.

4.11 Team Side Selections
The team to choose sides is selected in the form of a knife round. The first team to kill all the opposing team wins the selection and can choose which side to select.

5. Server
5.1 Server Details

E-Sports Gaming Organization currently use dedicated servers with the WarMOD attachment. All games must be played in authorized E-Sports Gaming Organization Servers. If the server is not up after five (5) minutes before the match is about to commence please contact a E-Sports Gaming Organization admin to confirm or reschedule.

5.2 Server Crashes or Server Related Issues
If the server has crashed or is experiencing performance related issues before the first five (5) rounds the match will be rescheduled from the start (zero (0) rounds). If the match has been played for the first five (5) rounds the match will commence with those rounds being considered and played until the first team to reach sixteen (16) rounds. The match will be rescheduled for another proposed date.

6. Game Server Mechanics
6.1 Skins, Sprites and Models

All users must use the steam only CS: GO creates skins, models and sprites. Any deviation from this will result in a one (1) month ban for the player and match disqualification.

6.2 Third Party Applications
The use of any third-party applications falls under hacking/cheating. If found to be using any such means will result in the automatic disqualification of the match as well as a player account ban and forfeit of any remaining credits in the account. E-Sports Gaming Organization has a ZERO hacking/cheating tolerance.

7. Game Exploits
7.1 Game Exploits

Any use of what is generally considered a game exploit is not allowed. Consistently using a game exploit will result in the disqualification of the team. Game Exploits include: Any general knowledge map exploits, illegal defuses and bomb plants, illegal boosting and any form of hacking or cheating. If you are caught hacking or cheating, you will be banned from E-Sports Gaming Organization with the disqualification of your team and the forfeit of any current credits. If the team is harbouring the alleged person, they too will be investigated with credits possibly being removed from their accounts from previous games.

8. Disputes
8.1 Dispute Process

If the team or player believes there has been a wrong doing on behalf of their own team or opposing team they can lodge a dispute post-match. A E-Sports Gaming Organization admin will be called to investigate the proposed dispute. Enough evidence must be provided to that admin member for the dispute to be successful. If the dispute is successful the admin member will propose either suspensions, bans, disqualification or rematches based on the severity of the dispute. Evidence is demonstrated with screenshots and PoV’s. If team members cannot produce enough evidence the dispute will be disregarded and the competition will continue as usual.
All disputes are deemed confidential and are not to be discussed outside of the parties involved. Anyone found to be releasing dispute based information to the public will be reprimanded accordingly through account suspension.

9. E-Sports Gaming Organization Admin and Monitoring
9.1 E-Sports Gaming Organization Admin and Monitoring

Admin staff at E-Sports Gaming Organization can monitor all matches in the E-Sports Gaming Organization competitions and neighbouring league owner competitions. Admin staff can then on their discretion with evidence suspend or ban users for any rule breaking in our game site, other game sites and any E-Sports Gaming Organization official site.

10. Disclaimer and Age
10.1 Disclaimer

We have made the rules as strict and as fair as possible to warranty these matches as a Game of Skill. By signing and playing with E-Sports Gaming Organization you agree that you can play Game of Skill based games within your country/jurisdiction. You also agree that this is a Game of Skill.

You also agree that these rules are final and are only overruled by E-Sports Gaming Organization admin members if the dispute in question doesn’t specifically follow any of the rules outlined. By registering and playing you agree that these rules can change at any given time by the E-Sports Gaming Organization and you must ensure you are constantly checking these rules (found in every tournament).

10.2 Age Limit
E-Sports Gaming Organization allow only people that are 15 and up to play and register in their gaming leagues. By registering you agree that you are 15 and older. If you are caught to be younger your account will be banned.
